THANK YOU Maxiracer. Thats tellin it like it is. I'm suprised 4thdoo and the band of neo-cons haven't chastized ya yet. No reason to chastise the guy just for stating an opinion. :S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Speachless) You missed the suttle humor of course. There was soooo much wrong with Maxiracer's post it would be impossible to correct in a lifetime of explaining.;) I can only comfort myself by realizing everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think there is a hidden meaning in this post.... Let's see...."I can only comfort myself by realizing everyone is entitled to their opinion" And I thought the only way you guys could only comfort yourselves now was with a picture of Ronald Reagan and box of kleenex...glad to see the gop supporters are evolving... :E All joking aside, you quote Thomas Jefferson in your sig about the dangers of large goverment, yet the goverment has never been bigger than it is right now under 6 of the last 8 years of GOP control. JMHO, but your way too trusting... max

RE: viper_forkedtongue

Mc, you always seem to be an american, even if we disagree. I also would have bet that you do things to help others. We know Riggs also does help and support the troops, many here do. Although one of us continues to use the work fuktard to refer to these great Americans, while riding his jap bike down the highways of America under the UAW flag. This is it. I will lay off fib from now on. Truce. One more thing before I go back to moving on. Alright, now Bill Clinton did not ride out the Reagan set up? Right? Sooooo, how will you describe the Obama term, so far. Now honestly, can we really debate who followed a worse time? You blame Reagan, yet won't acknowledge the prior four years of Carter? No doubt, we are in for rough times but so is the rest of the world, can we really blame Bush for the collapse of the entire world's economy? There's the problem right there 4th skidoo. Using the I'm more a Patriot then you card, hell, that's worse than playing the race card. What gives you the right, just because of a differing opinion that somebody is less American, than you? So because I've owned a 35 japanese motocrossers over the last 30 years I'm not American? How about that last US built sled I owned was a John Deere, since I've owned Skidoo's, I'm less american than a Polaris owner? All because I don't agree with your opinion??? Wow, where does somebody sign up to get that power? I want some of that. No wonder "hate" is what truely resonates in this great country. Your po'd because the other team won the game. And why? Do you really think you would be better off if McCain had won? All the problems facing our country would be solved? Let's look at how great your party is, and before you start calling me a america hater, let me give you my personal details. I'm a registered Democrat in the state of Michigan, but will be switching to the US Taxpayers party. (Constitution Pary) I have a job, been there 10 years in the manufacturing field, non-union. Plastic injection molding to be exact, before that I built doors, before that I was a dairy farmer. I'm pro-life, like to hunt, race snowmobiles, have a family of 5, my grandfather fought in the trenches in WWI. I love this country just as much as you guys do. Yet I don't agree with the direction of either of the two major parties, and when I made my intention to vote for Chuck Baldwin known, I was called unpatriotic by some GOP supporter (icehole I believe) on this site for wasting my vote, because I wouldn't choose between the evil of two lessers, when I voted last week. Your party (GOP) nominated a liberal, John McCain. He's proven to be antigun, with the McCain/Feingold bill, the Gun Owners of America (GOA) gave him a "F" for his dismal record on Second Amendment issues. He supported and still does support stem cell research, so he's hardly Pro-Life, the so-called backbone of the GOP stance on the value of human life. Let's look at the socalled ProLife GOP. Bush and McCain have had no hesitation or reservation about killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in reckless and unconstitutional foreign wars. By the same token, how many unborn babies were saved by six years of all three branches of the federal goverment being under the control of these "pro-life" republicans? Not one! Ask the more than 8 million unborn babies who were killed in their mothers wombs during the last eight years how "pro-life" Bush and McCain are. How about the bail out of wall street? Bush and McCain and have allowed the international bankers on Wall Street to bilk the American taxpayers out of trillions of dollars. Don't get me wrong, Obama supported it too, but it's the GOP that has controlled the White House for the last eight years and the entire federal goverment for 6 of the last 8 years. In fact, the GOP has won 7 out of the last 10 presidental elections. They have controlled the Supreme Court appointments for the last 30+ years, they have appointed the majority of Treasury Secretarys and Federal Reserve chairmen. They have presided over the greatest trade imbalances, the biggest deficits, the biggest spending increases, and now the worst finanicial disaster since the great depression. I don't have to mention illegal immigration do I? How's that coming along? Oh yeah, McCain wanted to grant them amensty right? Got to keep that cheap source of labor flowing into the country, while skilled labor goes to Mexico and overseas. How's Americas manufactoring base doing lately, under the GOP and Dems? So my not voting for McCain wasn't patriotic why? And all because somebody doesn't agree with your opinion, they are less "american" then you? While I admire your love of the country and your views of what America is and should be, your wasting it on the GOP. Same for anybody that thinks the Democrats can do better, you just voted and supported the most liberal man in congress to the White House. As I see it, it can't really get much worse, other than the "hate" will become more pronounced over the next 4 years led by the likes of Hannity and Olberman. The time for real change was last Tuesday, you guys who voted for Obama and McCain blew it. IMHO, you guys wasted your votes, yet I was the unpatriotic one....go figure. max

RE: FOX NEWS ( NEWS NEO-CONS CAN BELIEVE IN )

Points well taken guys. Looking from that perspective, yes, I will agree that portions of fox news programming is closer to center then Hardball, countdown or Larry King, but programs like Hannity's America sole purpose the last month has been to campaign for McCain Palin. Sean based a whole show on a Anti-Semite by the name of Andy Martin because he spoke against Obama. Actually, my favorite news show fox has is Greta's VanStustern's show, she probably is the closest to the center of any of the TV news shows. Can't stomach Oreilly for more than a couple of minutes, if he didn't talk over his guests 80% of the time, perhaps it would be different, but I don't like bully boy tactics, might make for good ratings, but it's a poor way debate a topic. It is good to be back, I still lurk around here from time to time, but it just got way to heated at the end of the elections to venture any imput. maxi

RE: FOX NEWS ( NEWS NEO-CONS CAN BELIEVE IN )

Never heard that out of Fox news. BTW, through the campaign, Fox news was the most equal news media between all the others. Exactly the reason I don't watch CNN much anymore. Obama got a free pass by 95% of the news media out there. Fox news was pretty much the only one that was equal between the two. Buddy, you have got to be kidding..right? Fox leaned so far to the right that they equaled or exceeded MSNBC's love fest with Obama. The Fox news website had McCain Palin banners on it, Hannity's America was an hour long attack on Obama and surregate campaigning for McCain each and every week, and H&C was more of the same. And the questions asked by Hannity to Palin and McCain were so fluffy, it made Obby's infomercial seem tame by comparison. Don't get me wrong, I didn't vote for either candidate since neither share my political or social stances. But calling Fox fair and balanced during this election cycle is like calling the Lions a great football team. It just aint true or honest. max

RE: Over $10 million

you'd be better off tuning your race sled then worrying about hannity LOL,that for sure would be time far better spent...still, I tend to listen to his radio show or watch some of H&C in hopes that as the election gets closer, his head will explode on national TV and I'll get to see it live. :C

RE: Over $10 million

Yeah, McCain doesn't have to spend money on infomercials, Fox's Hannity and Colmes did it for him...I watched Sean toss softball questions to John and Cindy that lead right into McCains platform for 30 mins then I fell asleep from utter boredom while waiting for Sean to start humping Cindy McCains leg or at least something remotely exciting to happen, was more like watching paint dry then informative, oh well...I was hoping I might learn something to make me consider changing my choice of candidate, but all I heard was the same tacit scare tactics McCains whole campaign has been based on... BTW, did they cover anything else in the other half hour?? Maxi

RE: Just gotta ask...(This is for the old guys on here)

I dunno Dick, I believe a-arms were "change" we didn't need...look how the country has hit the skids since the "global" change to a-arms...:B Bring back the trailing arms and restore the good fortune of the US of A!!!! Instead of chanting drill, baby, drill, chant 4 bars 4-ever!!! 4 bars 4-ever!!!!! See, isn't this much better than calling people names over their political idealogy? Probably not, but for a few seconds, this was the old trash board I almost got fired from my job for posting on....seems a lot harsher and crueler than it used to be...sad. maxi

Which really was better? Trailing arms or A-arms? I don't know about you guys, but that was a much more fullfilling debate then whether Obama or McCain will bring about "Change". Just my lurkin .02 cents worth... Max

RE: Make believe Maverick

I'll always feel good about my vote, I make the most well informed vote at the time, if he turns out to be a screwup worse than the other guy could have possibly been. Then oh well. If you feel bad, because the "politician" you voted for did a piss poor job, then your gonna live a pretty depressing life. I am not saying that is right - but that is the way it is. Mikey - I say he should vote for Obama or McCain - otherwise it is a wasted vote. Obviously I lean towards McCain, but that has nothing to do with my argument about a wasted vote. Also, my theory is to vote for a candidate that has a chance. Only McCain and Obama have a chance. You no-difference makers are having a hard time comprehending this, maybe I need Adam my 4 year old to explain it for ya in simpler terms! :) If my guy turns out to be a worse screw up then the other guy..Then oh well"???? WTF is that? That statement right there contradicts your most well informed vote at the time statement. You already know both suck, so why relish in choosing suckiness?? Talk about putting lipstick on a pig. You know it's bad, but it's not quite as bad as it could be? Hell, let's just vote like the Soviet Union used to, one choice, you get to vote, but it makes no difference. Your vote is the only voice you have anymore in this country, by voting for something or someone you don't believe you aren't patriotic, your simply going through the motions and agreeing with the actions of the status quo. The lesser of two evils, bahh, I choose not to vote for either bastard. Perhaps my vote is wasted in the large picture or in the final tally, but I know I voted with what I felt is in the best interest of the country and my childrens country. I can't think of a better reason to vote. maxi

Here's the problem Ken, neither serve what I feel is best for the country. So you say I should meekly think I chose the lesser of two evils and be happy about it? Sorry Ken, can't do it. You vote your way and I'll vote mine, but come next year, I'll still feel good about my vote. Hope you can say the same. maxi

RE: Make believe Maverick

Can't in good conscience vote for either. What I find funny is that McCain is by for the most liberal candidate that the GOP has ever had up for election and you guys along with the talk radio pundits are praising him... Face it, I look at it this way, neither can do any good with our current situation, in fact, 22 days after they get in, they will start the re-election campaign for 2012. An Obama presidency will be like being mauled by a grizzly bear, a McCain presidency will be like sitting in your car in your garage with the motor running, both will lead to certain death, but one is a bit more tolerable... Holding your nose a voting for what you feel is the lesser of two evils won't change anything in Washington. Got to vote these folks out of office, it's the only power we have in this country. I look at it this way, the problem in this country is that while we "elect" or legislaters, we don't "choose" them. I'm going to vote 3rd party for the 4th straight presidential election. Too many good men have died giving me that right, to waste my precious vote on somebody that doesn't have the best interest of my country at heart. I'll be voting for Chuck Baldwin, Constitution Party. Max You could have just told us you were wasting your vote vs. us having to read all that idealistic thinking! Ken, Tell me how am I wasting my vote? Because I won't jump on the bandwagon of "Change" or "Drill baby Drill"??? Not voting is wasting your right to vote, voting for somebody that doesn't fit your expection for the Presidency just to be partison, is wasting your right to vote. Neither Obama or McCain do anything for me, and I would rather go on record as opposing each party's choice in November while still exercising my right to vote. You cats go ahead and hold your nose and vote for one of the Republicrats, I'll go into the future knowing I voted for whom I felt was the best choice. Max
